Facilitators:
Most adults learned in teacher-centered classrooms: teachers talked, students listened, except when called on to ask or answer questions about what the teacher had said. This traditional model assumes both the authority of the teacher and the ignorance of the students.
Fortunately these methods are increasingly being replaced by teaching techniques that relate to the learners' life experiences and appreciate what they already know. Increasingly the learners, not the teacher, is at the center of the experience and share "ownership" for their own learning.
In this collaborative context, the word facilitator is more appropriate than teacher, for all concerned should be peers, engaged in a common effort towards a shared goal. Together they examine their own experiences and seek to come to individual conclusions. The goal is not some "right answer" or even consensus, but the collaborative exploration of ideas and issues. However, mastering the art of facilitation requires both practice and a clear understanding of the goals and methods involved.
What is a Facilitator?
A facilitator—
establishes a collaborative relationship with participants, in which the facilitator is "first among equals," but responsibility for learning rests with the whole group;
helps to create and sustain an environment of trust and openness where everyone feels safe to speak honestly and where differences of opinion are respected;
ensures that everyone feels included and has an opportunity to participate;
provides a structure for learning, which might include setting and observing meeting times, opening and closing sessions, and keeping to an agenda;
makes sure the "housekeeping" is done, such as preparing materials, setting up the meeting space, notifying participants, and seeing that necessary preparations are made.
A facilitator is not —
"the person in charge": The whole group is responsible for learning. The facilitator's role is to help that learning happen more effectively. Nor does the facilitator have sole control of the agenda. Participants should have a voice in determining the topics to be covered.
a lecturer: The facilitator is a co-learner, exploring all subjects as an equal partner and contributing individual experience to that of others.
necessarily an expert: Although preparing each session, the facilitator may not know as much about a subject as some other members of the group.
the center of attention: A good facilitator generally speak less than other participants; instead she or he draws them into the discussion.
an arbiter: In collaborative learning, no one, least of all the facilitator, determines that some opinions are "correct" or "more valid."
the maid: While the facilitator takes initial leadership in coordinating the sessions, she or he should not become the only person who takes responsibility. In a true collaboration, no one is "stuck" cleaning up the mess or attending to administrative details every time.
What Makes a Good Facilitator?
Some qualities of a good facilitator, such as personal sensitivity and commitment, depend on the individual personality. However, experience and awareness can improve everyone's skills at facilitating.
Sensitivity to the feelings of individuals: Creating and maintaining an atmosphere of trust and respect requires an awareness of how people are responding to both the topics under discussion and the opinions and reactions of others. Most people will not articulate their discomfort, hurt feelings, or even anger; instead they silently withdraw from the discussion and often from the group. Sensing how people are feeling and understanding how to respond to a particular situation is a critical skill of facilitation.
Sensitivity to the feeling of the group: In any group, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts, and group "chemistry" generally reflects shared feeling: eager, restless, angry, bored, enthusiastic, suspicious, or even silly. Perceiving and responding to the group's dynamic is essential to skillful facilitation.
Ability to listen: One way the facilitator learns to sense the feelings of individuals and the group is by acute listening, both to the explicit meaning of words and also to their tone and implicit meaning. In fact, facilitators generally speak less than anyone in the group. And often the facilitator's comments repeat, sum up, or respond directly to what others have said.
Tact: Sometimes the facilitator must take uncomfortable actions or say awkward things for the good of the group. The ability to do so carefully and kindly is critical. Furthermore the subject matter of human rights can evoke strong feelings and painful memories. The facilitator needs particular tact in dealing with emotional situations respectfully and sometimes also firmly.
Commitment to collaboration: Collaborative learning can occasionally seem frustrating and inefficient, and at such times every facilitator feels tempted to take on the familiar role of the traditional teacher and to lead, rather than facilitate. However, a genuine conviction about the empowering value of cooperative learning will help the facilitator resist a dominating role. Likewise the facilitator needs to be willing to share facilitation with others in the group.
A sense of timing: The facilitator needs to develop a "sixth sense" for time: when to bring a discussion to a close, when to change the topic, when to cut off someone who has talked too long, when to let the discussion run over the allotted time, and when to let the silence continue a little longer.
Flexibility: Facilitators must plan, but they must also be willing to jettison those plans in response to the situation. Often the group will take a session in an unforeseen direction or may demand more time to explore a particular topic. The facilitator needs to be able to evaluate the group's needs and determine how to respond to it. Although every session is important, sometimes a facilitator will decide to omit a topic in favor of giving another fuller treatment.
A sense of humor: As in most human endeavors, even the most serious, a facilitator's appreciation of life's ironies, ability to laugh at one's self, and to share the laughter of others enhances the experience for everyone.
Resourcefulness and creativity: Each group is as different as the people who make it up. A good facilitator needs an overall program and goals but may also adapt it to fit changing conditions and opportunities. For example, the facilitator may call on the talents and experiences of people in the group and the community, or participants may suggest resources.
PERSONAL CHECK LIST FOR FACILITATORS
Be very clear about your role: your behavior more than your words will convey that you are not the teacher but a fellow learner.
Be aware of your eyes: maintain eye contact with participants.
Be aware of your voice: try not to talk too loudly, too softly, or too much.
Be aware of your "body language": consider where you sit or stand and other ways in which you may unconsciously exercise inappropriate authority.
Be aware of your responsibility: make sure everyone has a chance to be heard and be treated equally; encourage differences of opinion but discourage argument; curb those who dominate; draw in those who are hesitant.
Be aware when structure is needed: explain and summarize when necessary; decide when to extend a discussion and when to go on to the next topic; remind the group when they get off the subject.
Be aware of your power and share it: ask others to take on responsibilities when ever possible (e.g., taking notes, keeping time, and, ideally, leading discussion).

the topics and tyes of facilitator depending on the own personality and the kind of things that you have to keep in mind if you really want to be someday one of them, makes analogy to the idea of follow a recipe for doing something special and delicious, without forget the amount of each of those things or ingredients and the order to make a perfect recipe. It is also important for continue developing some of the skills required looking for our own an original idea to be applied in our own enviroment.

IT Is easy be a simple teacher, but now I have a little awareness about be a facilitator that isn’t the same that only try to teach something to a group of people (read and teach like machines), it is of course something more complete for don’t say complicate, because really it is a hard work if you don’t know how manage this huge responsibility without lost the joy, because this is very important for do our best in whatever thing.
as future facilitators we need fulfil the requirements for have the results and effects over an audience that we will pretend; working in ourselves since now and then working parallely in us and of course in our future students ; learning how to be part of the learners but without lost the authority for manage the different situations ,don’t pretend only fill with knowledge, wanted in this way say that we need to know that the students have feelings, thoughts , value opinions like us , all this for a really learning/apprenticeship ,not only about the subject that we will to teach, also learning about ourselves and our students as human beings in all the fields of lifetime.

Methodology used years ago in the teaching was a way by mistake where the students couldn't participate in the class but nowadays this authority methodology has changed, thanks to teachers that took risks and could give a different way to the teaching such as teacher's role between them: "Teacher as Facilitator" where the teacher share his/her experiences with theirs students and try of guide them for the best way for that they can express theirs feelings and can talk with openness about the class, sometimes the students feel fear, worry, anxiety but them don't express this in front the class or teacher nevertheless the teacher facilitator's need to be prepare in several field for can develop news strategies where can break pedagogic obstacle. The motivation is very important for the students for that they be conscious of that the whole group is responsible for learning.
Become a teacher facilitator's isn't easy,is a job hard but is a field very nice"

Be a facilitator is the big challenge that we have as a future teachers, because be a teacher is not just give a subject or a topic, make exams, or talk and talk like a parrot without keeping in mind if our students are learning or not, it is been part of the process, be one more in the classroom like a student, be aware of our learners, their capacities, abilities, deficiencies and make them the center of the class.
I said that it will be a challenge or little difficult because in this moment we are still in a conductual education where the presion, sometimes represion is an inmportant factor that make us work and we can not work if someone are not controlled everything
I think we need to be conscious that our role as future teachers is a kind of difficult task because we have to change the way as teaching is view , it means that we need to apply what we have learned. Teacher as facilitator is an interested role because in this you are more than the teacher, you are part of your class and you need to know that you are not who has the correct answer here your students and you are building a new conception to make learning and teaching possible .
Being a facilitator is not easy but I know we are in the process. What called my atention is what we need for being facilitators, here our feelings and our behavior are definitively important .

I think that facilitator is who serve in a special time of our life. Is who guide with order some goals and give it the possibility that the learners and teachers grown up together.
When you have in front many people you can understand that this world has different minds and you as a facilitator have the opportunity that they learn with you. They continuously have a plane to teach because they want to achieve their goals .
The facilitator gives the change that you improve your knowledge and that your skill going to be stronghold.
The facilitator is who give example, and value all activity that the learner is doing to learn, one of principle characteristic as a facilitator is the sense of human , the humor sign that you are a human person and we prefer teachers that are human, with sense to help your learners.
A teacher is the head of the classroom, the most knowledgeable, gives instruction and helps the students, just like a doctor would, but we have to know that the teacher has to be not only the head of a class because the students need to be involved in the learning process so that's why it's important to be a facilitator, the one who facilitates in a class is like a helper. They guide students, help a task get done and sometimes reinforce a lesson.
Training is the backbone and something people need to go through to teach and facilitate, the guiding on the learning process is the way to succeed an excelent facilitator.
its important to mention that the tradional model of teaching is still working because most of times at the schools teacher try to teach something in englsh and the students don't have the posibility to participate in a confidence enviroment.
by other hand we have to change that tradicional model because we need to know how learn our students and we need to create in our class a space where they can develop their experiences and where they can pratice the knowledge that they are acquiring.
that is the work of a facilitator he or she has to give his/her students that conidence enviroment and he/she has to make a close relationship between the participants in order to have a better development of the class; here the facilitator has to ve aware of the felling of each person and also he has to take into acount the felling of whole group.
in conlution this is a very interesting article and i'm totally agree with the topics that have this article i think that this is the best way to teach and learn, and this is the way that we have to learn as teacher become.

I THINK THAT WE HAVE THE POSIBILITY TO CHANGE SOME ASPECTS ABOUT TEACHING, BECAUSE WE ARE MORE AWARE OF WHAT ARE THE NEES OF THE STUDENTS AND WE ARE LEARNING
NEW WAYS TO TEACH THAT ARE VERY MIPORTANT FOR US AND FOR OUR STUDENTS. SO IM AGREE WHIT THE ARTICULO IDEAS AND I FEEL THAT IS RELEVANT TO RECONICE THAT ATEACHER IS A PERSON THAT HELPUS TO FIND UOR BEST WAY TO LEAN AND ENCREASE UOR OWN COMPETENCES, BECAUSE EACH ONE OF US ARE A DRENT WORLD SO A GOOD TEACHER KNOW IT.

It is necessary to be aware that in nowadays we need to seek new ways to teach. People learn through different ways, they interpret and create their own understanding of the world and I think that this is based on their own experiences.
Acoording to the text that traditional model of teaching must be and is being replaced by new techniques that relate to the learner's life experiences and appreciate what they already know because the goal of those ones is not the "right answer" but it is the construction of individual conclusions.
This reading shows us the new concept of a real
teaching-learning process: "The Facilitation".
we as future english language teachers, have to realize about all the skills that we have to improve in our lives (responsability, creativity, dynamisnm, etc) in order to be efficients in our mission as facilitators.
Many people still have the wrong idea that any person just with a certification can be a teacher, but that is false, nowadays the teachers should be facilitators and facilitators should feel passion for their jobs.
to conclude, the educational system needs facilitators with all the qualitaties that this text exposes, it is a big commiment and it is not for everybody; if you put in pratice this useful tips you will be a great teacher and your students will love you and will be motivate to learn; your job will be something that you will enjoy and not an obligation.
As teachers that we will be in the future, the accurate role that we should assume is as facilitators because these give us a wide rank about the right elements or tools that serve us to put into practice different knowledge and information what we already know from one situation to be apply to another, and that will be share later with our learners.
As facilitators our performance is so significant since we do not have to teach by teaching like machines just memorizing data, information, stories or paragraps but we have to teach in order to improve the learners’ abilities and skills keeping in mind their thoughts, feelings and assumptions for they can be able to express what they want without any fair or worry.
On the other hand, we require being mindful about all things that learners want to learn or concerning them, thus we could understand them better and we could establish a huge collaborative relationship with them where they can develop and pick up the different topics learned inside the classroom effectively.
Finally, I think that facilitators’ behavior is an essential key to give them the enough trust and self-confidence that they need at the time of learning, according to this they will be open to new sights and possibilities which will make an important difference with the results gotten by them in each level of learning, thanks to motivation provided by facilitator to get a major knowledge.

It is amazing to learn that the opportunity to change the traditional paradigm rests on our hands.
It is time to stop looking for the right answer when probably we ourselves have not even found it.
It is time to set and start expeditions all together with our learners through subjects and issues; without leaving apart the reality that we are co-learners.
We have to recognize that responsibility should not be centered in only one person, but rather in a whole group.
It is time to cut our high status out. We have to be a key gear in the learning process, and also facilitate the evolution of the feelings in our learners.
It is time to have a sharper ear and a more accurate tongue.
Definitely, it is time to change and turn theory into real life.
David Florez.
Over the last years we have seen how the education has left those old educative paradigms, which try to establish the teacher like the nucleo of a class. The notion that it is the teacher’s role to act as an authority in the classroom, transmitting knowledge to students who are treated like recipients, or passive containers that are to be filled in with some kind of information, has been removing from many schools. The ideal now is for a more democratic learning where the student can be the most important person in the educative process “teaching-learning”. For these reasons, one of the most important objectives nowadays for the education is that our role as teachers to be, in this case as English teachers, is to facilitate a significant learning by students; we should guide our learners to construct knowledge for themselves through their own experiences, thus they learn about relationships among and within the central themes of various disciplines while also learning how to learn.
We need be aware about teacher’s role like a facilitator is one of the most effectives and useful roles in education since through this; we can create a favorable environment for learning, where the students are going to have a greater participation at the moment of expressing their ideas and restlessness; generating this way in the classroom spaces of sensibilization, communication and reflection that entail to the learners to the total and integral development of their being.

I think teaching is one of the most difficult jobs in the world, it takes you in all aspects and levels of your entire personality, for that reason your commitment is one of the most important thinks in the exercise of being a teacher, with that commitment I´m trying to say and as it is in the test, you have to be prepare and ready to involve yourself in the teaching-learning process, in other words i think you have to develop your skills when you are preparing your self as a teacher to be and think about your self in the future as a teacher, reflect about what things you really want to do in your classroom and apply them with your own students;
with this entire process of reflection, you have to take into account yourself and your whole educational period. You have to ask your sel when you were in high school or college if you wanna be like those techers that someday taught you and transmited their knowledge and if those techniques they used to do it were right to show you the way of learning and the knwledge.
In conclusion and to finish my approach, i think and as i said before you have to reflect about yourself, your ideas, your knowledge, your experiences, your need and skills; you have to develop yourself as a teacher or as a teacher to be and try to find some strategies that you can reach and mix as a cocktail to transmit in a good way what you are supposed to and make of the teaching process a good experience to you and your students

Being a facilitator is not easy because the traditional education has provided us the custom of having a person who directs everything in a classroom (the teacher), and the responsibility of students has been not thinking, just memorizing what educator is teaching. Nevertheless, nowadays things are changing in education; and for us, as teachers to be, it is a challenge to go beyond, surpass the tasks, and initiate productive actions in the classroom, always looking for students` development, according to their responsibility and results. It is really important that we take the risk to change the usual way to educate where the student takes a passive role; it is time to start making students the most active part of the class. To do this, we should observe our teachers and with our own experiences as students try to build the role as facilitators we want to play when we began teachers.
For me it is absolutely significant to find people who make me realize about the position I should develop in the future as a professional. Thank Clara for providing me this interesting reading.

In a traditional way, teacher is who directs the class, and the student just follow his orders, creating a wall between both roles that does not let us a real learning, or maybe it does but not in an appropiate manner. For this reason to be a facilitator is a good way to change teacher's role, applying other strategies to interact with the students, giving them the opportunity to contribute their own process learning, although it is important to think about what kind of behaviour we must use if we do not want to lose control over the class.
The role of facilitator is the best because it envolves feelings, honesty, awareness, collaboration with responsibility, more participation, commitment, experience, among others; so, it means that they are able to see which kind of classes could be adapted taking into accoun what the student think. Also, doing it with honest and taking the role as students too; which is great for us because this is a way of showing frendship; this brings the students the opportunity to collaborate each other with responsability, but the teacher must take into account his / her experience to take adecuate control of the situation. Furthermore, facilitators have a challence of commit themself with all the procces that a good facilitator require.

I think that one of the more difficult thing is to teach but there are different ways to do it and a good teacher all the time finds the way or the method and be a facilitator can help us to develop a class because you can create a relax environment,it does not mean that be a facilitator be easy but this makes that students participation increase and gives the opportunity to learn in each class.
Facilitators aren’t only teachers, in my personal opinion they must be friends, they must have a good relationship with their students. This relation is useful to know the skills and the weakness of the learners for later support them in their own apprenticeship.
The students must themselves develop their skills and encourage them to strengthen the areas where the student isn’t strong; the facilitator is only a support, a map to guide toward the knowledge, the facilitator only show the way but the students can trust in them although this is not an easy job, be facilitator need patience and a big structure in the develop of the class.
Sebastian Jaramillo
For decades the role of a teacher was that of a leader, exercising full control of the class, calculating every move in their surroundings and acting as supreme leaders. As time passed and different learning methods were developed the role of a teacher began to change bringing down that old notion of an authoritarian and calculating teacher to a more flexible, comprehensive, committed and respectful person towards his learners realizing that his methods of teaching should not be as those in the past,(routine, methodological and strict) on the contrary these should be more cooperative, where he starts to engage more in the development and the learning processes of his students.
The new role of a teacher is that of a facilitator, (A facilitator's role is to pay attention to how students in the classroom work together, so as to assure the group can accomplish their goals).
The facilitator accepts that each student in his classroom is willing and able to share responsibility for what happens, assuring each student has the opportunity to contribute to a discussion, or making sure the curriculum serves the group's purpose. Sharing responsibility helps distribute the success or failure of the group's actions and allows more students to determine what happens within the group and what decisions are made.
I believe that a facilitator is someone who, through many years of training and experiences, becomes an expert in the field. I believe that is essential for anyone who wants to become a facilitator to prepare themselves in the field the best they can.
All facilitators who take special care in their preparation will develop special skills in their teaching process not only implementing a method, but integrating abilities such as: flexibility, tact, ability to listen, and sensitivity to the feelings of individuals and of the group, commitment to collaboration, etc.
To conclude, I believe that facilitators need to think about what are their students feeling. As facilitators, one good way to do this is to look back in our school years and remember what we went through when we were students. We will realize that most of the students have problems with their teachers. Therefore, a facilitator’s priority should only be for the benefit of the student’s learning process.
I think that will be great be a facilitator but this is a responsibility that whole group need to be compromised. In our society is a situation that is difficult to see in our school and other types of education where the people go to study. I think all begin in home, is something that need to be applied since infancy. surely is something difficult do it with children but I think all begin since there.
The most important now is know how do it and begin with the change, it is the most important and is a great tool for use and is a use for all the life that should be use of a generation to other.

“Leave this world in better conditions that you found it” is the clause that I keep in mind since I was a child. Being a teacher is a good way for me to realize the dream to transform the world with a good purpose. Being a facilitator is an excellent way, to show to people that world change, and obviously rules and practices in educational field change too for our benefit. Why?
Today we can teach being a part of the class, not a boss that is a custom in schools and universities around the world. People and students are not numbers, they are not things, students are human, and as human, we as teachers must work with them in the way we want they work with us. A facilitator act as fair as possible is very neutral and he has all the values that a person needs to be a life’s example. This kind of person is aware of all the things that happen on the environment and try to transform a classroom as an excellent space to share points of view and increase knowledge in the better sense. A facilitator is the solution we need, to solve problems with all the topics related with the learning process in students. A facilitator collaborates to improve abilities on students based on mistakes and clarifying the importance of work in team. And finally, the most relevant topic that a facilitator must keep in mind for me is that he has to be conscious of the best way to obtain results in our dear students that one day, could be the teachers of our children. Really nice blogg, teacher Clara.

it is important to us as future teachers to know about the ways we should teach in the correct way to do not have any arguentes or some thing like that wiht our students, acording to the reading there are several roles that the theacher has to play in a classroom acording to the students; because it is not the sane to teach kiss that teach to adults and others, you have to be directive some times but other you have to be a facilitator.
for us it is easy to be facilitators but i think is the most dificult way to teach, maybe our students learn by a directive way and it is so dificult to change the way they are getting use to but is not impossible to cahnge.
we have to learn all this things not only to be the best teachers ever, also to be better persons.
nice blog have a nice day and life
god bless you

I think that the way in which each one of us is going to teach depends obviously in how we are and in how we can modify or change it with what we are learning.I think that the best way in which we are going to teach or the role as teachers that we are going to assume depends on the kind of students or group that we will have.
The facilitator role allow us make the learning process easier for the learners because it helps the students to find their own answers and conclusions based on the experience and the empirical learning but what if we are in a group in which that role does not work. what should we do? i believe that we as teachers need to find in that moment some answer for our problem and we should not turn away our eyes and do not pay attention and do nothing because it will show that we are not interested in our students and that we do not care if they really learn, so we could resort some other role, for example the manager role, because in this way the whole time in the class is going to be planned with some activity but then they could be creative and think or reflect about what they have been doing but they won't have the whole time to do what they want.
Finally I would like to say that we really as teachers to be have to be aware about this topic and do not look at it just as a topic course we have to take it as a work tool that is going to help us and our students to get a better and successfuly learning process.

Somehow the article shows what learners mean to this stage of pedagogycal development, students became individual "full" minded, not those empty minds that had a neccesity to be taught and therefore a supreme coordinator of the process (teachers).
seen from another perspective, the real trouble involves making aware those graduated teachers that this pedagogycal movement is going on in the present, that it involves more commitment whenever teaching takes place.
it's a topic we must argue throughout the whole program, knowing that it has many advantages, how can we use it in different enviroments where the teacher percive learners as out of hands, common feedback teachers ask for, when teaching teenagers.
Then it's this what makes the art of teaching a more enjoyable career.

The setting and context are vital to how involved a facilitator needs to be. At one end of the continuum we have the traditional teacher (teacher centered) and at the other end we have the modern communicative teacher (learner centered). In a context and setting where learners are not responsible about reading required copies for the next class meeting; not studying for exams; not practicing or studying the L2 target language outside the classroom the teacher cannot function as much as a learner centerd teacher as he/she wants because the learners by default are rejecting their role in the learning process. They do not want to be autonomous learners and rather place the burden on teaching and learning on the teacher; a return to the traditional teacher. Also underlying this our society is not very well read (Colombian read an average of one and a half books a year)which means the foundation of general knowledge gained through reading in the native language (mother tongue) is not very deep. What does this mean? That the lack of reading in Spanish affects any other language we attempt to learn. We do not have general information about history, politics, education or most subjects and have not developed the ability to be critical thinkers. It is far easier to simply go into the internet and copy someone else´s ideas or words rather than express these words or ideas in how we understand them and what they mean to us. An autonomous learner is learner reads all assigned texts (copies), researches the internet and other sources to expand on the ideas presented in the assigned texts (copies), takes an informed position in agreement or disagreement with the assigned texts (copies), shares new information and informed opinions with his peers and teacher. In short and autonomous learner takes responsibility for his/her role in the learning process. The teacher’s role between the traditional teacher and the learner centerd teacher directly depends on the context and setting and the role the learners themselves assume. The greater autonomy shown by the learners the smaller the role as traditional teacher the teacher will assume. In our context the three most pressing issues are learners using all available resources outside the classroom to learn and practice English (this includes multimedia and practicing all 4 skills), reading and completing all assigned homework and greater participation in the classroom. Incidentally, normally the fulfillment of the first two impact directly on participation in class; if we practice and study outside the classroom and do all the required homework we will be prepared to participate. Good luck learning and please become an autonomous learner in every sense of the word!
A lot of theories to apply, a lot of teacher's roles, a lot of authors to cite, many suggestions to teach your favorite age level: adults, teens or children; but unfortunately, or better, fortunately that is not enough; is there, inn front of those human beings where you really learn to teach, in other words, you learn to teach... teaching!!!
"the world changes 4 times faster than our schools" says some researchers, this sentence tries to tell us that somehow we will belong to the old schoolbut that is wrong; the teacher's center ideology has dissapeared, nowadays the students are the center of the classroom, they are who build the bridge between knowledge and larning and we, as teachers, are just the architects of those buildings. Therefore the education is in a constant change, enhancing to satisfy new needs of a population and avoiding old customs and bias.
My point of view is clear, we must realize the importance of this profession, wich is more than that, since the future lies somehow in our hands ; those minds which need a road, we can show it to them; those white piece of papers , we can fill it up; just rest me to say you that we will have the most powerful weapon to change the world: the power to educate.

You may be able to manage team groups, but do you have the skills and ability to be a good facilitator? Is time to reflect what kind of facilitators we want to be. We have the responsibility to create the best quality in education. We have the the future in our hands, the new generations are waiting a better education and how we can see in many cases we don`t have good teachers because they think is just simple to give information but they don`t know they need to be more than a person who share his or her knowledge and have the dedication and love for what they are teaching.
We be able to understand human interactions and how conflict can be resolved. be a good facilitator is help a group set and keep ground rules, help the group focus on the discussion, bring in new and different points of view ,Creates opportunities for everyone to participate,Able to put the group first,Appreciates all kinds of people,Has a passion for the group process. So to be a good facilitator is no easy but is a beautifull job.

Education is the best legacy that old generations have left for new generations; that is why we have to appreciate it and improve it day after day with the goal of provide a better future for our children. in this education improvement teachers play a significant role; a role in which they should be facilitators rather than teachers and at the same time in a colaborative context in which the objetives are to create collaborative exploration of ideas and issues in the students.
this way of viewing teachers is the best way to build an autonomous, participative and respectful society. so that this behaviour in classes should be the example that everybody who wants to be a good teacher and who wants to change the world in a good way should start to put in practice. we know that change the future for one better is a challenge that have a lot obstacles and difficulties but we have to be aware that it is not only a job but also it is a need and a responsability that worth carry out.
